Complete Environments
Lower Earley Day Nursery provides rich learning environments which are ideal spaces for the children to thrive in.
We have a blend of educational resources with a home from home feel so that children consider our nursery to be a second home, where they enjoy learning, meals and rest.
Each child in our care is encouraged to grow in confidence, self-esteem and knowledge by providing them with a solid foundation for the years ahead. We provide a caring, stimulating environment both indoors and out where children can feel happy, secure and confident to explore, discover and learn with the support of highly qualified staff.
The setting is separated into three areas:
Babies and children under two are cared for in the Nest, an open plan area with a homely feel, that has age appropriate resources and direct access to their own secure garden area.
Children ages two and three progress to "Little Bears", where they enjoy a large open plan room with furniture and resources that cater to the needs of this age group, that allows them to explore and grow in safety.
At the ages three through to five, children progress to the 'Big Bears Room' where they have a wide choice of activities and toys to choose from to take them from this age to the start of their school journey.
All children have access to the outside areas, which include fixed play equipment and a covered purpose built outside classroom where we provide all the learning opportunities they have inside too.
In addition to this we have a strong ethos of embracing nature and the outdoor world and we plan special activities where children can experience the great outdoors safely under the supervision of staff. We have strong ties to our community and make regular trips into it visiting Lower Earley Library, ADSA, Chalfont Park and Trinity Church.
All activities are planned through the children’s interests, and there is a strong emphasis on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) from the babies to preschool, using the language of learning and bring awe and wonder into the nursery day. All staff are actively promoting Creating and Thinking Critically and enabling the children to be robust and independent learners.
